Default Wet and not so wild

Newer vehicles almost all react bad to the introduction of water. Manufacturers go through quite a bit of trouble to figure out how to keep the water out. High pressure water from car washes and severe showers can often get into the car's electronics causing a multitude of problems.

I had this same issue on a Chevy Monte Carlo and a 94 Grand Cherokee,

Try locating the source(s) of water intrusion. Common areas on the D include the Windshield Wiper/Rear Hood area, and Sunroof. Other areas that can be a concern are the Front wheel wells and behind the headlights.

Check for missing rubber seals, missing/cracked plastic covers over fuse/relay boxes, wheel well liners and don't forget to check for water intrusion into instrument/dash area from the sunroof drains.

Also be sure to check the boots around the spark plug wires.

Replace seals and parts as needed. There are also some Electrical Contact cleaners and Protective Sprays that may help.

Good luck and welcome to the forums.
