Default Chrome handles?

I currently have a 2004 dodge 4.7 durango SLT. On Monday my 2006 dodge durango SLT Hemi will be ready to pick up. I want to add some aftermarket chrome handles. Does anyone have any suggestions as to brands to buy or stay away from. Perhaps I should just leave them alone?

Thanks for input everyone. Can't wait for the hemi...... Losing my leather seats however.

I have brushed aluminum handles that you can see on my main page. I think they are Putco brand,

Cool. I can buy TFP brand but they will cost me $80.00. Chrome plated stainless steel. Just wondering if anyone has them?

Anything is better than the plain black plastic ones that came standard,

Default True that!

You are so true. I might even put some chrome covers on mirrors and a mesh grille as well. Thanks for the information. Hope the 5.7 treats me well. I had to put a new manifold on the 4.7 recently. I cant seem to find out anywhere if the 5.7 has a different engine block than the 4.7. It seems the 4.7 engine (aluminum block) and manifold are 2 different metals and are prone to this problem. Hope the 5.7 is not.

Trading 2004 slt 4.7 for a 2006 slt 5.7

They are different blocks and you will get 100 horsepower more with the Hemi than your old 4.7,

Default Perfect!

I appreciate the information. The 2004 had 129000 kms and the 2006 hemi has 100000. I think I did alright. The only thing I gave up was the leather seats. Oh well, cold in the winter anyway. Are there any problems with the 2006 5.7 SLT that you know about?

Thanks again for all the information. Glad to here the block is different. I can't see getting any better gas mileage with the hemi. The dealer said with the MDS it is a huge difference but I have my suspicions.

I was told by my dealer that the MDS system could save 10 %. It seems all makes have a similar system with the big V-8's,

2006-2007 were some of the best model years for the 2nd gen Durangos, from what I've read. Some people prefer the 2007s for their different front ends.
