Coolant Bleeder Valve
Hi all
anybody guide me to Coolant Bleeder Valve in my 5.7 hemi 2008 Durango SLT. I change the therm & now need to fill the coolant.
Should I mix water with mopar coolant (60% water / 40% coolant)
Thanks

I do not believe the 5.7 has a bleeder valve, just the 4.7 engines.
To fill, have both front and rear heat (if equipped) on full blast. Leave radiator cap off, and idle engine. Fill till coolant is at top of radiator filler neck, NOT the overflow bottle.
As the air works its way out, add more coolant till no more air comes out.
To speed the process, you can run the rpms up to 1.5-2K to get the coolant moving around and air out.
I also like to squeeze the lower and upper radiator hoses a bit to get the air out of them.
Do be careful of the moving engine pulleys, etc while doing this!!!!!!!
