Default Stupid Oil Change question

Hi everyone! We bought an 04' Hemi Limited about a month ago and The guy that owned it before us did all his own oil changes, so there was no sticker stating when the last one was. Anyway I wanted to know if there was any message indicator or light that would tell us when to change the oil/ when it is time for an oil change. I dont want to have any of the oil sludge problems so I really would like to know...Thanks!

I do not think there is on any model year. Change the oil and spark plugs for cheap insurance and peace of mind. The transfer case, differentials and coolant should be checked also,

+1. When it comes to vehicles that are expensive to fix (and they pretty much all are), don't trust anyone but yourself if you can help it.

There are 16 one for combustion and one on the exhaust side for each cylinder. The back ones are hard to reach,

This is in the Ram section, but the Hemis should be similar enough (if not the same) that you can get a general idea of the job ahead of you.

The best way I have replace spark plugs is to have someone else do it................Just kidding. I raise the front end up and remove the tires and inner fender wells and replace thru the fender. I do the same thing on the Ram trucks too.

Good thought. PITA, but it should help. Now, if I only had a lift at home...
