front blower motor

Smile front blower motor

Hi All
I have a problem with my 2004 durango from blower motor
sometime it does not come on only when i hit a bump then it's start and sometime it works fine
also when i it comes on after a bump the speed of the motor seam to get more spped.

what could it be motor or resistor
and how to fix it

You can try a new resistor and see if you still have a problem or it may have fix the problem.

Go to your local Advance Auto or O'Reillys (or equivalent) and buy yourself a Haynes (Chilton would be acceptable) manual. It covers lots of little things like this.

While you are there, grab the resistor. Most auto parts places, if they don't have one on hand, can order one. If you don't mind waiting, Rock Auto is usually cheaper.

IIRC, its two screws/bolts on the bottom of the blower motor and disconnecting a wiring harness.

Default now air bag light is on

Hi
I did download the maintenance manual and recommed to disconnect the negative wire from the battery
i did and install the resistor and still the same problem and now the air bag light stay on in the dashboard and the display on the passenger side dash
when i run the blower i hear a humm in the air vent from the heater.
speed goes up and down not the same hi speed from when i bought the durango new
what's wrong
