p0300 code
I have a 05 durango with 4.7 in it with 82000 miles... i have been getting this code... i changed the plugs and tps, it started out poping the code when i would accelerate... would almost feel like the transmission wasnt shifting right, after the plug changed i didn't have problems for a week or so and now its back and getting worse... at take off it hesitates and then it feels like it shifts down and have no problem... im just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and what they did to fix it or what could cause this. Any onfo will be appreciated thanks guys
Do you have any other codes besides the P0300 code? I would start with a compression test and a leak down test. You could have a burnt valve that maybe starting to give trouble.
I dont get any other codes at all... the engine has been making a ticking sound on acceleration also but the shop i took it to said it wasnt anything to be worried about... could a burnt valve be the cause of that? Thought it was an exhaust leak at first but had that all replaced and looked at a couple weeks ago.
I have that code show up at least twice a month for the last four years and I changed my plugs twice (at 30,000 and 60,000 miles). I always assumed it was due to the tune I have installed and the extra flow with my ported cylinder heads and headers. Mine would show when I start the engine, but no ill effects from the code.
Still having the same issues... ive changed the tps iac map sensor, air temp sensor, coils, plugs, idk what else to do the shop cant even figure it out... i also figured out that if i disconnect the battery and let the pcm reset it wont run like crap and no light for a week or so... sometimes even a month
