Air is blowing hot or cold intermittently
My 2006 Dodge Durango 4X4 will suddenly start blowing hot despite the temp control all the way over to cold.
I push the control to hot then back to cold but it takes a lot of fiddling between
the temp control
air flow control (to feet, windshield, feet/face etc.)
to get the temp back to cold.
When it is working just right - any little change I make to the temp control switches the temp to full on heat.
This happens at the worst time - especially here in Las Vegas with temps reaching over 100 in summer.
(It also sometimes does this Winter - but the opposite - blowing cold when I want hot).
Any ideas would be appreciated - as I am scared that I may be on the hook for a $1000+ mechanic bill.
Thanks!
Allan

Same problem with my 04 Durango Limited. A few days ago everything work fine again. I'm concern about this problem come back and broke my AC. No idea what's all about. The AC shop says it's an expansion valve working erratically.
