My 04 durango 4.7 threw a shift solenoid code and i replaced the solenoid. It seemed to help but it still was having trouble shifting so i reset the pcm. It still shifts a little rough in low gears. I know there is a certain amount of time it takes the pcm to relearn but how long is that? Should the check engine light stay on?

Disconnect the negative terminal on the battery for a half hour and then press the brake pedal a few times to reset the system.

Is there any way to test the relays for the transmission or the pcm to see if they are bad without just replacing them? The relays are cheap but obviously the pcm is not.

Im getting the code for bad 2nd gear ratio now. I thought because i reset my pcm it was throwing that code cause it was still trying to relearn the gear ratio or that the transmission shift relays were bad

Ok so i replaced the input/output speed sensors thinking it could have been that but my durango still feels like its taking off in 2nd gear. I dont know what else it could be besides electrical at this point?
