As FF says, the Gen 2 Durangos were either RWD or AWD. There was no 2wd option like the Gen 1's had.
Please let us know what you find on your RWD trans pan dimensions.

been a little pre ocupied, gone and stuck a hole in the sump of my daily run around, in the middle of nowhere.

RWD and 2WD add up to the same thing in this instance, i sometime wish i had the AWD, would be useful at times

Have now checked the Durango like you, taken measurements from drivers side using a tape and straight edge, front edge is 2&1/4 inches and rear 1 inch,front edge on passenger side is 3 inches deep, which seems to me i have a shallow pan....fingers crossed i can now order one, probably from Rockauto, as they ship to the UK.Even after taxes and shipping they will still be the cheapest
