I have an "newer" 06 Durango limited that had a satellite am/fm cd player radio. I pulled that radio and want to install an 06 standard mopar navigation/satellite am/fm cd radio that was pulled from my "older" 06 Durango limited. Both radios are standard mopar Dodge Durango units, one being transferred from one 06 Durango limited "older" to the other 06 Durango limited, "newer". The only difference being that the "newer" Durango never had a navigator installed in same. Upon the initial installation attempt a Dodge tech stated that the "newer" Durango lacked some sort of harness or bracket. He seemed a bit uncertain of the operation. Any help would be appreciated. Is there a different bracket or harness needed? Other than some bracket or harness, does the car computer have to be programmed? Does the GPS antenna merely stay behind the dash, buried behind the unit? Thank you.
