Default 2005 dodge durango 4.7 litre

I have a 2005 dodge Durango with a 4.7 litre .I had just bought it and noticed a bank one exh manifold leak.a check engine light on and lots of rust from under the chassis thinking this dodge at one time hauled a boat .so I put together a scenario that this truck had blown 2 back studs on the manifold from saltwater and most likely the code p0036 was from the exhaust leak.so I repaired the manifold leak and tried to erase the code with the obd2 scanner, no such luck. I had even disconnected the battery and the check engine light stays on ,never goes out for even a second, can this be a 02 relay and if so where is this relay .please help thanks 99435 miles.

Depends on the failure. If the failure is present as soon as you turn on the key, it will reset the code.

If you're seeing a lot of rust on the chassis, then you need to be looking for corroded (high resistance) grounds for the O2 sensors. The heaters, signals and returns are all separate circuits.

Auto Zone is ridiculous. If they really knew, they would be fixing them instead of selling parts. They offer free scanning to sell parts...and that's all.

Also, don't buy the cheap sensors that AZ has. Many times the heater circuits will be DOA out of the box. Get NTK O2 sensors.
