Worried about the battery and oil.
Should I buy a new battery or charge the old one?
I am not near the car so not sure what brand etc, battery it is.
Also, should I change the oil as someone said it might drain out of the engine, making it dangerous to start?!
And does anyone know what kind and how much oil I would require, if I need to replace it? Its the 4WD 5.7l model BTW.
TIA

im going to move this to the 2nd generation section for you.
changing the oil would be a good idea only because contaminants may have made their way into the crank case and you dont want dirt/debris circulating through your engine. as for the oil draining out of the engine, you would be able to determine that by checking what the dipstick says, just as you always could, if it is all gone there is a leak somewhere that likely needs fixed.
The battery can probably be charged, i would try that first if you have a charger.

I have a USB car charger, I can take that with me and see if it starts at all first.
