warped rotors
I replaced all 4 pads and rotors on my 04 Durango. I think they are trying to upsell you with stuff you don't need. I used carbon pads from autozone and regular rotors from Napa and ahven't had a problem. I would take them to a different dealership or to a specialty shop like a local garage that you trust.
I've had this problem happen twice now. I've made the same mistake twice too. That being waiting another 1-2K until my next service calls to see if I really am feeling something.
I had this thrown in my face today having just had this done around 16,000 miles. I started feeling it again around 3,000 miles later. I actually brought it to the dealership 19,500 miles because I also experienced the stall problem and was so concerned about that problem I forgot to mention the breaks felt like they were wobbling again. By then, I was a just a little ways from my 21,000 maintenance. I also had to go out of state for the holidays. So when I came back I scheduled and appointment and brought it in a bit over 21,000. Their argument is that it's been 6,000 miles. Now, I started to feel the problem around 3,500 miles.
So I am none to pleased because I am not driving like a maniac. And I haven't done any towing since the rotors were re-ground. This is not my first SUV. I used to own an Isuzu Rodeo; I think I had my breaks done once in the vehicles 115,000 miles I owned the vehicle. Now I am doing rotors every 3,000 miles? Come on...something is wrong.
This time I may test the lugs and demand that they be torque wrenched to spec. Makes me almost want to take the time off for the repair and watch them do it. And if I see them use air compressor tools throw a hissy fit.

Had same issuse on my o4. Mine was more loss of brakes under moderate use ( heating up and fading out)
Ordered a set of Cryo treated slotted rotors from the tire rack and new pads. This was fter the dealer recall and FIX that didn't work.
The new ones I ordered are great.
Forget the Chrysler stuff on brake parts. Likewise on the mass marketers, ( auto zone, oriely, napa) and get some realy upscale high preformance stuff from the speciality aftermarket.
