Default Trailer tow group

I have an '04 Durango without the tow package. Looking from underneath, I notice a vertical cooler and a horizontal cooler mounted in front of my radiator. Are these the auxilary transmission cooler and power steering cooler that come with the package?

I think the Tow Package also includes a different rear diff size (?). About accesories: foldable mirrors and receiver hitch with light wiring connector.

...and your AWD switch only have two setup modes: Full Time and 4-Hi Lock. No 4 Low. Right? I saw one SLT 4wd but with the 4.7L engine and had that 4wd combination. Your rear diff may be
the one that came with the SLT and not the bigger size. But... there's no specifications about a rear Limited Slip diff and my -D- has one. Why Dodge didn't mention it? They only talks about a Traction Control that works along with the brake system (no longer available on 2006 models).

But hey... is good to know that it is possible to find an SLT with a HEMI engine.

Regards,

What is included in the tow package? I have the 2" reciever, 7 pin plug, and 4 flat. Is there a standard rear gear?

Hi there,

I have the 2005 Catalog. I'm almost sure that in the last pages it has the details for the Towing Package. I'm going to look and post later whatever I find (unless someone has a Catalog at hand right now and post it first).

Regards,

According to the 2005 Catalog:

Trailer Tow Group includes:
- 2" Hitch Receiver
- 7 and 4 pin wiring-harness
- 6" x 9" power heated foldaway exterior mirrors
- 750 amps maintenance freee battery (v8 engines)
- auxiliary transmission fluid cooler (v8 engines)
- auxiliary power steering fluid cooler (v8 engines)

The bigger rear diff appears to be an available option but not mentioned under this package.

Regards,

Ok, well I have yet to crawl underneath to check for a tag on the rear differential stating the gear ratio. There is no information on the door tag, is there anywhere to look besides crawling underneath?
