Quiet Ride?

Quiet Ride?
I want to know if anyone has a quiet ride at highway speeds with their durango? I posted a while back about wind noise (05 SLT w/ Hemi) which I think is still pretty bad. I just wonder if anyone can tell me that they don't have the problem and give me a description of what the weather stripping looks like on their driver and passenger doors. Maybe mine is missing something.

RE: Quiet Ride?
I have an 05 Hemi Limited and our Highway drive is VERY quiet. Especially compared to our old 01 SLT. We have no problem hearing the kids when they talk to us from the 3rd seat. I'd take a pic of the door weatherstripping - but my camera is broken. IIRC it's just tubular weatherstripping all around the door. Nothing special that I noticed. I'll have to look closer.

Here's a link to a prior thread on this topic:

Mine is a 2006 with 2000 miles on it and I already have the wind noise at highway speeds. Not happy.

RE: Quiet Ride?
Hi,
You are 100% right about the wind noise. There seems to be a common problem with hearing. I have the 5.7 Durango 06 or 05 model. I got it 5 months ago and it has 10K kilometers on it now. The care drives perfect until 140km/hr (sorry i am talking metric, but this is the deal here in Egypt. I went through this forum thoroghly and there are many people who have this same problem. It seems that Dodge has a malfunction in the assembly of the passenger door. It is shifted about an inch away from its location. Someone mentioned that you can see it very clearly. I still havent contacted my dealer, but i think we have to strongly push this to Dodge so they can do something about it especially that it costs $100k to drive one of these here in this country with all the tax duties.
