Default 99 concord -No HEAT!

I was driving my son to football practice this morning, wasnt cold out but I tried to put a little heat out to de-fog the windshield. I have no heat at all. I can turn the **** all the way up and there is nothing but cold air. When I crank the **** to hot I don't hear anything, as far as actuators or flaps opening / closing. The A/C works fine along with the fan and the various settings-vent/defrost ect. The temp guage is fine. The car had hit a deer and had front end damage before we bought it. Is there anything under the hood that could be disconnected? I am not sure where to even start on this one. Thanks!

What engine? Does it get warm the faster you go, and then cold when you slow down?

It's got the 2.7 in it, and no, it doesn't get warm at all.

Check the hose going to the heater box and see if it gets hot. If not, the flid isn't circulating for whatever reason. Look for plugs etc. If hot line going in and out, then the mix door (or control of it)is probally bad.

I'll make sure its circulating through the heater core, If not, I was wondering if it might be the mix door, or control, since it doesnt seem to make any noise at all when I crank the heat up.How bad is that to get too, and to test?

My 97 trep has ATC and has a self test procedure (it checks the opperation of the door, calibrates etc). Is yours the manual or auto temp control? If auto see this post:

https://dodgeforum.com/m_917188/tm.htm

If manual, see this post (the section dealing with the control head test):

https://dodgeforum.com/m_824700/tm.htm

Let me know.

It could be that you need to bleed the air out of the system, but usually the signs for that are no heat at idle or low speeds, but gets warmer when you get to higher speeds. That's why I had asked about that.

Ck your coolant level. If its full then replace the t-stat, it maybe stuck open.

kurts2, thanks for the links, I'll check those. As far as the coolant level, it is full. If the t-stat was stuck open wouldn't the temp guage be off? Im trying to think which way it would be, hotter or cooler, but It reads normal-just a little below half guage.

I was just about to pose the same question to master tech about the temperature gauge because you had already said your temperature was normal in your first post. Let me know how it goes.
