Unhappy Wet driver's side floor board

My 2002 Dodge Intrepid has a coolant leak somewhere and now the floor board on the drivers side is soaked. I've been told by some that it could be the heater core that is leaking. Is this possible? If so, does anyone know the approximate cost for replacing the heater core? Help!!

Well, if you don't want heat you can bypass it for less then $10. To fox it yourself you will still need to have someone vac and service your ac. This plus the removal of the dash will cost you hundreds but if you do all of it except the ac it will run about $100.
