As biged says it doesnt really matter if u have a name brand or not. All it is a aluminiun tube with a filter. the ebay stuff works good just slap a k&n filter on it and your set. This is In CAI not in other auto parts, i would never buy cheapo depo springs its not the same there. But in a CAI there isnt really much of difference just price. I have a AEM CAI but i got it as a gift if not i would have bought one off of ebay. im going to buy a short ram because raining season is coming up and i live 6 feet above sea level so it floods alot here.

Dude It'll fit iin the engine bay I promise you if it says it does then it prolly does the K&N manufacturers arent NUMNUTS they do know what they are talking about I know you wanna see how it looks and everything It mounts on to the throttle body and It fits exactly right where the stock air box goes I promise it will fit.

what's wrong with the wheel well area?? the air is colder there...therefore better...????? Also, if you dont want it there for some odd reason just attach it too your throttle body and custom mount your throttle body up...(you would even eliminate the metal tube here so air would go directly into the filter then the throttle body)...a good k&n filter and some custom mounting would do fine...but there is nothing wrong with the wheel well area unless your driving through flood waters??
