I FOUND OUT THAT THE TYPHOON INTAKE ON A 2000 NEON MOUNTS DOWN INTO THE WHEEL WELL...THIS IS A PROBLEM FOR ME CUZ IN THE WINTER IT GETS REAL COLD...AND I DONT WANNA BE SWITCHIN BACK AND FOURTH FROM STOCK TO THE INTAKE...ARE THERE ANY MODELS THAT MOUNT IN THE ENGINE AND NOT DOWN INTO THE WHEEL WELL?

 

i think all the cold air intakes go down into the wheel well....you might want to check out short ram intakes. theyre like half a cold air intake. they just dont go down into the wheel well.

 

short rams mount just in the engine..problem was i couldnt find any of them...k&n makes them but doesnt actually show them...they just say they make cold air,short ram, and complete cold air systems. but they only show the cold air system on there site...so im kinda in the dark cuz i cant actually see how they look or the instructions or anything else like that

 

make a bracket that will hold up your throttle body and then just have a filter on the throttle body

 

not into the backyard mechanic stuff man...that kinda work doesnt last...no offence

short ram intakes dont come up for a 2000 neon....at least not on aem so far....k&n says they have them but they dont show anything about them

its not k&n but you can just stick your filter on that if you dont like the one that it comes with.

 

dont like the ebay stuff..im just lookin for the name brand manufactureres and the link to there site with the install instructions for my 2000 neon so i can see how the short ram fits
