Default Underdrive pulley

Hi all! I have a 2002 Neon with a MPx Underdrive pulley. I Have a sound system that needs juice and with that UDP is not cutting it. I was trying to remove itto install the factory UDP andwhen I try to loosen thebolt in the middle, it keeps turning. Can anyone please advice me on how can Istop the UPDfrom turning when I try to loosen it up so I can get this job done. Thank you in advance.

use an impact wrench
could also just get a few capacitors and keep the pulley on the car

Did u test the alternator and see how much charge the battery is receiving from the alternator?
I'm having the same problem with my AFX UDP and my sound system. Howell claims that this UDP was tested to work well with high output sound systems. Whatever! I'm going to buy this thing that reduces the amount of power the sound system uses. Hopefully that'll make it better. I just replaced my alternator too.

Good luck.

lightening the pulley on the alternator can solve our problem as well...ut i dont know anybody who has lightened or made the diameter smaller on the alternator pulley....I could really use this info on how to do it because im not getting a UDP due to my heavy sound system...

that doesnt seem like such a smart thing to do..... messing with the pulley at all could seriously case some problems.... the last thing ya need is the pulley snapping on the highway or anywhere for that matter...

I just got a cap for my sound system today. It's probably going to be ok now. Do any of you guys have a cap?

I have like a 1.5 legacy cap...but I also have one of the biggest x-static battcaps....i have the 800 model....(it's like a battery that discharges and chargers faster than a normal battery so they call it a capacitor at the same time)...hence battcap....800 is the cranking amps...so you could repalce your battery with it...and they are 1/4 size the reg battery so they recomend you get 4 of them wire them in a series and put all 4 where your reg battery goes so instead of 800 cranking amps you have 3200 amps!!!!! They say its could for drag cars or cars with super subs.....anyway my amp is a class D monoblock pushing 3,600 watts and both my 1.5 cap and battcap cant keep my lights from blinking and rpm's from falling during a bass drop LOL...not to mention the reg battery and alternator of course....I need alot more power before I get a UDP
