If you want more power than the stock turbo will provide, but you don't want to buy a turbo kit from another company becuase you would rather build a custom kit that can make more horsepower check these turbo's out: http://www.extrememotorsports.com/ca...p-1-c-373.html

Now, could you imagine the Garrett GT42R on a car that weighs less than 3000 lb.
You would kill yourself no doubt abou it

I've always heard you dont want a giant turbo because it takes too long to spool up...turbo lag or something...and that turbo would create too much boost for any neon...lol.....you would need your motor pulled and race designed...forged..

Yeah...from what I have heard you can go too big. Just like you can go too big with exhaust on an N/A car. I know that the Lancer EVO suffers from turbo lag. I was watching a show and they were showing the badsides to the evo. They raced a honda fit(could be wrong on that) that was completely stock and had an auto tranny. They were at a 40mph roll and the evo was in 5th gear. The other car totally took the evo and was easily 100-150 feet ahead and then fiiinnallllyyy the evos turbo kicked and it flew by the other car.

That was the problem right there.

Theres the video and it shows the race at 7:00 minutes. I was wrong with a few things. The FIT was a manual tranny. It was a 30mph roll and they were both in fifth gear. The Evo never passed the FIT because they ran out of runway(1.7 miles). It was catching up. Watch the video though.

Lol well of course your engine would HAVE to be modded before handeling 1100hp, but it is possible. Turbo Lag would be an issue, but there are ways to reduce it. For one you can buy the ball bearing turbo which spools faster. Better exhaust and intake. BIG injectors and fuel control system. A solid built engine. It is possible and any neonwith 1100hp would prolly give most if not all supercars a run for their money. It *Could* be the fastest car of all time if anybody wants to try it.

Figuring the extra weight of making the car able to put ou tthat much hp lets say the car will weigh 3000 lbs instead of the stock 2600 (2900 if based off SRT-4). 1100hpin a3000 lb car...thats what roughly 270mph? (I don't know any formula's or anything that is purely a guess ). What kind of tires would you need lol? Drag radicals/slicks prolly. Michelin makes some ultra high performance tires that Motor Trend used when they tested the 7 "affordable" supercars. The Hennessey Viper 1000TT spun all the way down the quarter mile with them and if pushed full throttle the tires basically melted...
