Default Electrical problem

Ok, my friend has an 2003 SXT ATX with 68000 miles and she tells me that it all started by not shifting into any gear higher than 2nd, then it got harder to start up, and then the radio didnt light up the last time, and on her way home the battery light came on.

dealership took it, they said it was the alternator and the battery.

this has happened to her twice before. (once a year ago, the other 6 months ago)

First time she replaced the battery. the second time she replaced the alternator, and this time she replaced both

I suggested it was her battery cables and all or a short somewhere, anyone have any comments?

uhh, you realize its only been 2 hours, in the middle of the night. you might get a better response if you just let the topic be for a day and come back tomorrow evening and check in.

Yeah you're right, but the thing is.. I get the car out of the shop tomorrow and I'm not going to pay the idiots to cover up the problem instead of fixing it!
