Need a conensus, srt-4 exhaust fitting r/t cut outs??
Al right guys, I am getting the r/t bumper put on next wednesday. I've gotten a few mixed responses from some of the guys on the forum when it comes to rolling an r/t bumper. I've also gotten mixed responses on an srt-4 exhaust fitting the slots of an r/t. Also, do you any of you guys think the vibrant might fit into those slots, or am I just out of line on that way.
Here's my little dream...if the existing vibrant exhaust system i have on my car presently doesn't fit my r/t bumpers' slots, i'd like to get an srt-4 exhaust, this is the one i'd like to get:
Now, if i had the body shop thats putting in the bumper try and put the srt-4 exhaust system in, do you thnk they could fabricate it to get those 4" tips to fit in the slots, or do you think if they didnt fit the slots, would they have the ability to "roll" thge bumper (P/S: still have no idea hows that's done and how it comes out so smooth and neat on peoples car, anyone mind explaining to me what exactly the process is, the pictures don't do much for me)...anyways, im just pretty confused right now...Im willing to get rid of the vibrant if it doesn't fit in the slots or the rolled positioning of the bumper....and if it doesnt fit i want to get the srt-4 exhaust systme with the 4" tips, indicated in the picture i uploaded in this form..sorry for typing so much, just a little confused, and i need some help because the clock is ticking before the appointment next wednesday, and i still have an exhaust issue lol. the exhaust system im lookng to get if the vibrant doesnt work out with the r/t bumper is posted at the bottom of this entry.

the srt exhaust is a couple of inches wider than the rt one so it won't match your cutouts you can have shope modify your exhaust so it will fit perfect
Yeah the cut-outs will have to be modified. The tips of the stock srt-4 exhaust of bigger, but the piping is the same diameter. If your srt-4 exhaust came with the resonators try using them first. If you get cop trouble then get the glasspack.
I have an 04 R/T, same cutouts, had an SRT exhaust on for a day, doesn't fit the cutouts, and would have to be moded to fit. I am haveing to mod my Borla to be able to put my rear Mopar lip on, just have to shorten up the distance between the tips to fit the cutouts and loose the hideous oval tips! Good luck though.

So the final anwser they dont fit. Unless you mod them. If i was u i would go to an exhaust shop and make a custom exhaust with 2 1/2" pipes to fit the R/T bumper cut outs...
yah seems like that..but tell me when u do it how it goes.i got the vibrant too and am looking at a bumper..i wanna see pics of urs with the r/t bumper and vibrant
