factory r/t exhaust???
I just recently got a fix it ticket for my exhaust. I have untill july 5th to fix it, does anyone know anything about this exhaust and if it's legal. i would assume that it is b-cuz it's from the factory. just looking for some input. Also,what size are the tips. thanks

it is legal...it is the same muffler that comes stock on the R/T. The tips I believe are 2 1/4"...you wont get a huge amount of sound yet, you will get a little more performance then then installing the "stock" muffler...

The r/t stocker was my 1st dual exhaust on my sxt I really didnt like the sound so I got the borla for my acr srt4 than put the acrs on my sxt than the cops buged me so I put a glasspack on her no more cop trouble .If the cops are buggin you should put a glasspack on your exhaust. Much cheaper than getting a r/t which will run you 150 to 250 shipped or from the dealer.

guess try to get something stating that its a stock factory part optionoffered on the neon (R/T part). there are countless people who have gotten yanked over for their stock SRT4 exhaust. i carry the stock exhaust diagram in the car just in case, save the time going to court if you can nix the ticket on the spot.

that is af**king good idea airwolf!(and i am being serious) I have been trying to figure the best way to fix the prob. save $$ doing it, and keep the performance.Does anyone know how they determine the legality of the exhaust, meaning do they judge it by decimals of sound or do they go by any aftermarket exhaust is illegeal. hope that makes sense. cuz i got a speeding ticket thats what started all this i got a ticket for the tint, and the exhaust, he said any after market is illegal, no matter how loud it is. cuz mine isn't that loud. i think he was just trying to get me on all that he could, he also mentioned the hieght of my car. oh-ya did i mention he was a dick cop.I live in so cal. so any info would help. thanks guys.

Glasspack will help tame that exhaust of yours down enough that the cops will never bug you about that subject at least. The cops never bug me about my custom srt4 exhaust just the way my ride looks they tend to follow me from time to time but never pull me over and for speeding never been caught in my sxt .
