Yeah I heard about that. I havn't done much with CAI's so how will it sound exactly? I'm guessing it all just depends on the CAI you buy. But I am going with the first one.

sick i love that turbo sound. i swear one guy i was drivin with a few days ago said "man this car sounds like its got a turbo."

also im j/w if that first one has a shell under the filter cuz i don't want water coming up into the engine thru the filter. if not, could i just order a K&N filter and does it come w/ the shell on the bottom of the filter?

It's not that loud of a whistle. Don't think your car's gonna sound all buff and turbo'd with a cai, hah. You'll notice a louder sound in the engine, originating at the tire well when you accelerate.

Didn't mean to thread jack... but does the filter that comes on an ebay intake any good? I mean since it had so much more surface area than the oem air filter... or is a K&N still better than those? I've the ebay filter that came with the intake since i got it like a few months ago. Should I switch? or should I just wait till it's dirty then switch over?

It all depends on if the company decides to make a quality filter and not a POS filter. I would buy a K&N its reusable (washable) and its pretty much the best brand of filter out there.

Ive had an ebay cold air intake for 3yrs now with a k&n filter and had no problems none at all and its the same as all the other name brands your just paying for the name . Plus Ive heard more bad things with the typhoon and aem intakes . I have a 04 auto sxt . My intake is not one of those three . I ended up painting mine red anyways and now have a cf filter I use for shows.

Yeah I'm going with the Ebay brand myself...its like 40 bucks total. Why the heck does K&N charge $230 for a pipe and a filter?
