Just wondering what everyones thoughts are on Cold Air Intakes for the 2005 Neon SXT automatic. I'm seriously considering buying the K&N Typhoon Series CAI for $220 new. What do you guys think? Would you suggest something else?

 

get a crappy ebay one and then a k&n filter

 

Eh, I don't want to buy a crappy CAI only to have it fu** up the next day. Also, does the K&N Typhoon kit work on automatics?

 

i dont see why it wouldnt work. the cai is just a pipe anyway,

 

thats true...but when i was lookin around on ebay some of them said they were for the manual only. which doesn't make much sense cuz its only a pipe.

 

just find an automatic one. just go with ebay and stick a K&N filter on.ull save a crap load of money and still get a great mod. I have one and have a k&n filter on it

 

But wouldn't they all work on an automatic? Also, what brand on Ebay would you guys recommend?

 

cai is just a breather your engine it works for 5spd or auto but it depends how much you want to spend!

 

just find one u think is cool and buy it.lol..like mike said, its only a pipe.the filter is when u should say whats better. which i vote K&N

BTW, I'm really new to the Neon and don't know a whole lot about it yet other than engine specs. So if I'm asking dumb questions, I'm sorry.
