those chips are junk. ones i have seen simply fool the car's computer a little bit on the air readings... and make it adjust fire as far as mixture goes... but really make no difference in the end.

 

isnt the safe way to upgarde a chip in the ecu instead of a radio chip in the air line sensor?

 

Not all performance chips are crap . My brother had this 86 z24 cavalier hatchback awseome lookin ride and it was pretty fast and he had a custom trick chip in it that his friend put in that he bought it from and it was something the engine was all modded out and very well taken careof. I wish he still had it .

 

86 they came out with there boxy body mods , yea but the chips was internal in the ecu!!

 

yep those are the yrs and rides that can handle those cool chips .

 

well think about how low the product in cars was back then all american companies keep there american muscle them under it hit the 90s everyone went lightweight and cheap manufactering..

 

More fuel + more spark timing advance. Let's think about this...
