My sxt in an accident today!

I think ANYONE would take a freaking STI or an EVO over a regular dodge neon. Not much of a fighting point there. As to the rest of your mods...it sounds like you just went to modern and wrote all the stuff down.

Like others have said, they are designed to protect the passengers in car. Meaning if they get in an accident they crumble to take the impact rather then the people in the car. I know people with imports and guess what, their cars crumbled too. But guess what, they survived with minimal injuries because the car took the impact rather then the person. I bet I could build a car that didn't crumble, but the driver or anyone else in the car would absolutely be screwed if it ever got into an accident.

Wow. Why don't you explain why they are better. Go ahead and read your magazine so you don't need to keep talking out of your ***. Make sure you learn how to drive stick before you get an STI, so you don't embarass yourself. Werd.
My "wreck resume" is very extensive, but let me just say that I've been in about 13 car accidents in 9 different cars all Ford, Chrysler, GM, and Mazda... (a few more as a passenger), and although most of them were not my fault, I can personally vouch for the fact that my '04 SXT has taken more of a damn beating than most of those other cars, and my SXT has also held up better in a crash/accident, and has proven to be much more reliable afterwards.
In fact, I wish in some of those past scenarios I would have been driving my SXT, because there is one more important point that no one hasbrought upyet... knowing the specific situations my accidents happened in with those other vehicles, I tend to think thatif I'd been driving my '04 SXT instead, I would have been able to AVOID the accident entirely... maybe not in every case, but a good amount of them, because of how it handles, and the way it was engineered to do so.
Nonetheless, I've been around the block with cars and how they hold up, and I won't gripe one bit about the contruction of my Neon. I won't overplay it to be more than what it is, but for $10,250 brand new off the lot, there was no other car at that price that I could find that could out-steer, out-brake, and in most cases out-accelerate the next closest-priced competitor's car. It was roomier and just as well constructed as many of the others (and in my opinion, better constructed than a damn Civic)... It may be just a Neon, but my car's been through a bit of everything and (to my surprise) I am very impressed with how it has performed strong and stayed reliable through the 56,000 miles of abnormalities that it's been through...
...and to this day it still drives straight, turns and stops on a dime, makes it through the toughest weather, and still turns heads... and it's kept me from getting killed or injured to appreciate that.

Evos are so overrated I have discovered. Still...I love that car.
werent u also the one who likes to be unique. Modding an import is very popular now, while modding a domestic is not as easy to find. im a honda and dodge raised kid and everything that these guys are saying is true.
yeah I like modding my rides to be different whatever ride I get next probably will be an sti or nitro in the next yr but they will be different mod wise . no offense anyone but I will believe the consumer mags over anyone on here for safty of neons and imports. Getting back on subject my sxt now is going to be done in 3 weeks or maybe a little less . Its hard for the dealership to find sxt parts .

In a straight drag an SRT4 can take an evo. I have seen it so many times. I'm not talking about stage 3 srt-4s taking stock evos either. Pretty equally modded cars and SRT-4 just pulls out. When I started comparing the two and watching them race I was surprised. SRT-4 is way lighter and has a bigger engine. Every evo vs srt-4 race almost the same thing happens off of the line. Evo jumps about a car length ahead right at the start then the SRT-4 just blows by. I want to see STi vs SRT-4 though. That would be interesting.

Yeah. AWD ftw.
2.0L DOHC 16v I4 turbo - Evo
2.4 L DOHC 16v I4 turbo - SRT-4
The evo still manages to hold itself pretty nicely. And it is FOCKING SWEET looking. lol.

I have always wanted an Evo. BUT, i'm 18. and the insurance would be as much as the burial ceremony. (Prolly wrap myself around a telly pole 1st week of ownership)
