Why don't my 18"s fit on my '04 SXT??
I recently picked up a set of Sport Max 940's (18x7.5 5x100.73.40.gm) with 225/40ZR18 tires, but they rub the back springs or struts or whatever it is. I went online and it shows that they should fit.
I'm sure you can tell by my post count that I'm pretty much a 'noob', especially when it comes to cars.
Can anyone shed some light on what the problem is or what I can do to resolve it??

^I just got off the phone with a guy at Big O, who wasn't much help.
He said 'spacers are dangerous because if one cracks or brakes it'll make your wheels unstable'. <--- ??

yes that is true but thats why you dont want to buy cheap spacers like the ones from ebay. check and see how much room you would need then find a company who sells spacers and get that size. more then likely you will need 8mm ones
^Does that mean I can't buy them from an auto store or a tire shop??
