Your A/C will not perform any differenetly with the UDP installed.

another question, the underdrive pulleys run things like A/C and other such systems correct? is this going to knock the performance of my ac system and all that down?

So this is what i got from LFS racing in regards to a TB:
Well to be honest it probably wouldn't do much with that car. I know from 03+ the neons really didn't respond well to the TB due to the new NGC computer. As you mod the car it will show a differnce but then basically tune down the car thus going back to where you started. A TON Of people had nothing but issues with this computer. Most people with 03+ neons I recommend saving up enough money to do a SRT engine swap since it's very very easy to do on your car. It's a complete bolt on to the point it just drops in and you plug the SRT computer in and your ready to roll once the dealer flashes the computer for the SKIM key or you buy a stage one performance computer.
But honestly that is something I would consider. every bit of money you save up will help. Plenty of folks selling SRT engines and transmissions from wrecked neons. So any more it's getting cheaper and cheaper to get parts to do the swap.
That's my opinion and that's what I would do if I was you and owned that car. I been looking for a 03 neon just for that reason to do a SRT swap in it have cheap insurance and have a nice beater car to drive in the winter since I have a SRT but I hate driving it when it rains and snows out because of the amount of power it has right now. I can't get traction when it's dry let alone when it's wet out.[/align]

Sounds like good info to me . Im actually been somewhat against doing the swap but Im leaning more on doing the srt turbo swap and tranny cause its pretty cool to build your own turbo setup and theres alot of decent engines and trannys outthere and better hp overall. So now im for doing the swap all the way.
lol yeah but i didnt wanna drop that much money and work into it right now with only weekends avail. to work on it and what not. what about the possibility of a new pcm that would accept these enhancments?
There arent any PCM's available for the 03-05 Neons...just MS. Lorenzo was playing up the NGC though, its not nearly that bad. But I agree that the TB is a bad place to start with your limited mods...
well i was trying to see if he had any 55mm's instead of the 60's that hes selling for the 2nd gen. price wise is it smarter to swap than to upgrade the 2.0? The only part about the swap that scares me is electrical. I'm decent with electronics but i dig into a cars wiring and get over my head. I was readin the info on MS and that seems a bit advanced for me also... lol i didnt think i was dumb until i read the info on that thing.

get some sparkplug wires, motormounts, headers, and a exhaust and it should help u out

I'd just start with the cheapest things you can find first. If you live where it's HOT outside alot, I would recommend buying some new decent copper spark plugs, and gapping them to 0.040" and running 89 octane...
The factory exhaust tubing on the 2nd-gen Neons is pretty decent for OEM, so I would leave that alone (on a budget), and remove the stock muffler and replace it with something higher-flow out the back. Even a cheap nasty POS muffler will flow better than the stock one, believe me.
Run Mobil1, AMSOil, or Redline full synthetic in your motor and throw some decent synthetic ATF+4 in the tranny... might free up a few parasitic horsepower and give ya an extra mpg or two.
As far as the CAI, look for my next thread posting on some pressure readings I took in the wheel well for incoming cold air... the results may surprise you and make you reconsider re-plumbing the CAI tubing.
so explain to me if you will the diff. between the magnaflow catback which if i remember right is the same as my factory piping as opposed to just putting on something like the vibrant system that just replaces the end?
