yea.... is it possible to hook the ECU up to a wideband or would that make is go crazy and have a ****-fit and throw codes at me left and right....? b/c if i can hook a wideband up to the ecu then wouldn't that cause it to tune itself a little better or no?

No... IIRC the 03+ have a wideband o2 in the upstream anyway. The only reason you want a seperate one is to watch A/F for tuning. The ECU is gonna read the values and tune to what its programmed to do.

I pretty sure its a narrow band for the early 2nd gens... which makes the answer also no.

What are your goals for this car? just bolt ons? If you don't want to buy a wide band, i would at least take it to a dyno with an A/F gauge. You'll be able to see what you power output is now and also what A/F your ECU is running...
