I'm looking into the future to see what I want for a subwoofer and amplifier. I have an 8in bazooka tube that can hit pretty hard but im looking to upgrade. What all do you have and what do you recommend? I want high quality at an affordable price. Im lookin to spend $400-500 on a setup. yo man those kickers are some nice subs. I got 2 MTX 7500 superwoofers with a 1200 watt amp they pound like crazy! if you are intersted in buying any let me know.

 

I have two 12' L7 SoloBaric Kickers (06 models, SQUARE) with an SPL 1600w Amp, Dual CD player with a DBlink 1600w Amp Kit, Memphis Gold Mid-Highs. Probably pushing like 1200-1400 watts, after one song your cheast willl hurt and it will be annoying to breath lol. I've spent over 1,000$ in the system itself, theres pics in my domain of it, I love kicker mainly cuz my hookup sells those lol www.basicsounds.com anyone needs any let me know

 

I have two 12" Pro Tech (you have never heard of these and will never find a pair, but trust me they are better than most other subs I have heard) subs and a power acoustic 1600w gothic series amp.

Those kickers should be nice,
Might I suggest a custom enclosure, if you are concerned /w trunk space. Because I have no room in my trunk and it was a little rough getting the box in the trunk. well atleast thats the problem I had with my 2000 Neon.

I'm not really concerned about SPLs or dBs so my setup is fairly small, but sounds GREAT! I just upgraded my subwoofer today, and I think it should keep me quite happy for a long time. I've got a 10" JBL, 250w sub, and a 100w Clarion amp. Seems low on power but it really kicks. I've got the sub mounted in a custom fiberglass box. There's a thread that shows the box with the 8" Rockford Fosgate that I had mounted in there temporarily. The sub gives me lots of nice, clean bass, and can still hurt my chest when I turn it up too loud. Not bad considering that between the sub, amp and head unit I have spent about $450 Canadian. I know many people with dual or triple 12"s and this sounds better.

 

I am running a Infinity 7520a Amp Bridged (spec is 283, however I am told it test's to 305 RMS) and 1 Infinity Reference 1230 12" sub, This combination imo pounds very nicely, current version are 7521a and 1231. You can pick these up for around $300.00. I don't think anybody will ever complain about infinity quality or sound. I am very happy with the sound.

 

I have the same set up inmy neon with a ki8cker 450 and it sounds great and i am running my stock inside speakers for mids and highs wth a pioneer preimer 2006 model and mine screams

 

I have two 12's (I think they are Zeuz) and if I remember the brand correctly I have Acoustic amps and speakers in the car. I also have a Jensen face. I think that's it. I haven't had my car in about 5 months that's why I'm not 100% sure.

 

I'd definately go with Kicker over Diamond...

I haven't had much experience with Kicker subs, but I love Kicker amps... I have had 2...



I don't need all the wattage to bump... Mind sounds pretty good...
