Default Fuel Rail & Fuel Injectors

I'm sick of my 16mpg, so i'm considering buying a new fuel rail and injectors. I cannot find them anywhere! How much do they normally cost? Any got some links for them? Thanks.

Is there any way to clean your fuel rail? What about those fluids? I've searched all over this forum and a couple others and can't find much info on this subject. Seems they didn't make many aftermarket fuel rails...

But yeah. new injectors? cleaning fuel rail? 03rt help me...

Well at this point I could go for any suggestions. I do a good amount of in city driving, but lately i've been driving to work which is ALL highway and i'm still getting ****ty MPG's. I know I should probably get a K&N filter but i'm not sure if it's the miracle everyone says it is. The testimonials and reviews are like, "omg i added a K&n filter and my stock neon beat a stg3 srt like wow!"

So yeah. I bought some champion plugs today and i'm getting some msd wires. There goes a paycheck. [&:]

Lorenzo sells a high flow fuel rail and MP sells the 19lb fuel injectors...but I can almost guarantee those two things arent your problem...

I'm throwing CEL codes for the evap system. could that be a reason? My spark plugs are also pretty damn rough looking.

Could you snap a picture of one of your plugs? I doubt your EVAP code has anything to do with your poor gas mileage...but anythings possible I suppose[8D].

Sure i'll take a pic right now.

Would you say that the MSD wires will have any real benefits over some I can get at Auto Zone?

edit: my new plugs are fitting fine, just gotta gap them. i ****ed up one of my wires. godamnit. i'm kicking myself in the face right now.

The MSD wires are probably better (quality, resistance, etc) then the random brands you buy at the autoparts stores...

What did you do to your one of your plug wires??

EVAP can be a vacuum leak so that can affect milage. Do not go bigger than stock as this will just make things worse. Look into your MAP sensor see if it is dirty and oil fouled. If so Start their.

You more than likely will not notice any difference between the msd wires and the wires you can find at autozone. But like state above the msd wires are made of a better quality, can take more heat and are designed better. If you get the wires at autozone dont get the cheapest, get a middle priced set and you will be more than fine. If you do not mind spending the money I would recomend the msd's. But if not the other wires will be fine. Also like mentioned above its prolly not you fuel rail. To clean your injectors you can buy a can of seafoam and run it in with your fuel and that will help clean them out. Did you ever change your o2 sensors?
