Sorry, I should have been more clear... he's right. It frees up hp you would normally lose through the accessories. You will see a gain in wheel hp (minimal on neons), but not crank hp. I don't normally care or referense crank horsepower so thats why i wasn't specific.

Thanks for clearing things up. I already came to the terms of doing without AC or the sound system. Someone told me it would be cheaper just to pull the AC out all together and lose the dead weight. I haven't decided yet if I could live without AC especially since my car is an everyday driver.

no need to lose the a/c it doesnt rob that much power. actually, if you have it on and you go into WOT, it will shut off and you wont lose any power from it

not sure about that. i know mine kills my power. and when i go wot the car just doesnt want to go. i know i need a tune up but i still think the ac robs alot of power (hence the reason i dont use it)

cams
port and polished head
port and polished intake manifold
bigger throttle body
udp
50 shot (wet)
weight reduction
smaller/lighter wheels (14's)
For the pre-NGC cars that list is good. Probably go with UDP and ThrottleBody for just bolt-ons.

As for wheels, probably stick with 15" just for wider selection of rubber.

Think it is moder that has some uber lite Rotas that are plenty wide for serious rubber for when you finally do your SRT brake swap to stop this thing.

thats a good list even for a NGC... Those are all things the computer cannot account for or control.

also, SRT brakes are worthless... just like rear disc conversions. why add more weight to the car? I know SRT guys that have downgraded to non-srt brakes for that reason. weight reduction
