Well this is my first post so please no flames LOL. Anyways I've been doing some minor upgrades to my 2002 SXT and had a few questions about what I could do to add more HP without adding a supercharger or turbo. Right now I've replaced my wires to8 1/2mmMagnacore, spark plugs NGK silver, Pacesetters Headers Long, APEXI Cat back, and K&N CAI. What should I start looking at doing next. I've been thinking about the undrive pulleys. Has anyone Dynoed themor seen a significant increase in power? Any other ideas? Even considered MS or mega squirt but I don't kow if I'm ready to deal with the hassel yet. I've looked through the 2nd Gen forms and most of the recomended upgrades I have so I'm looking for what I should do next. Part names and brand ideas would be great.

Yea I'm a cracker jap and got the nick awhile ago. My back is covered with JP tats like the Yakuza and people started giving me the nick and it kind of stuck LOL. Good thing for me I live on the East Coast right!!!

Anyways anyone know how much of a HP increase I'll see with changing the udps? So far all of my work I've done myself but I know I'm going to have to run to a shop on that one. Just wondering if the HP increase is worth it. As for the throttle body that's and easy project to work on what would I be looking at for gains? Already port and polished my head and intake manifold. The same with the cams I've read a lot about some really significant gains. Jst wondering which out of the three or in what order to tackle them in. If I remember UDP then cams for a stage 1 upgrade. Which is going to give me more ponies for the cheaper cost? Like most of you I'm on a budget. Thanks for all the advice so far and picking on the new kid LMAO.

 

How old are you? I think you gotta be 21 to buy a UDP...

 

haha you guys arent very nice.

underdrive is ok, but it will hurt a/c and alternator

you have all the basic upgrades. if you have a stick, you can get a short throw and booger bushings and stuff like that

 

i never had a problem with my A/C or power steering... although my battery light came on when running an amp in trafffic. Needless to say the system came out the same day. Power > Sound

You not going to see more than 5hp with a UDP though...

BTW, you might be able to slide if you japanese...

 

Someone told me UDPs would be around 6HP thats why I was wondering.I didn't know if I could trust the source or not. Didn't sound like it was worth doing but hey HP is HP for some.
