i personally think your cluster is junk. were did you get it?

The sentry system does send a signal to the cluster, but it won't prevent the car from not starting. The signal just translates to how long the sentry light will stay on. The only thing that will disable the car is if the sentry box in the column does not communicate or sends the wrong signal/code to the PCM. This is why i think the cluster is junk.

The sevice manual crashes my computer at work, so i will try to get you the wording tonight when i get home.

awesome man i'm lookin forward to your help, like i said there are a crap load of people that have swapped the clusters and i have not come across one that has the same problem i have....o and i got it off ebay...supposed to be guaranteed to work

 

now im really confused, leaning towards me gettin a crapped out cluster, Pablo dragon who has the same car as i do (except its 04) he has the same key i do, bought it off ebay as well, and hedid the swap no problems at all. DAMN IT!!!! lol

 

looks like its a no go..........................DAAMMMMMMNNNN ITTTTT!!!! lol it took me forever to find a cluster with mileage close to mine too anyone know where else i could look besides ebay?
