I see that K&N typhoon comes out to about $175. If I can get ahold of this guy that said he might be selling his AEM, i'll take it. I JUST bought a new K&N filter so I'd hate to see it go to waste.

The only reason i'm considering the OBX is because it looks pretty damn good and I am on a budget like usual. Especially with college starting next week. I can't wear a cold air intake to school. WELL...it wouldn't cover all my body.

I guess i'm trying to ask if that OBX cai seems to be a good deal for the money? And whether or not anyone has it/had experiences with it.

If you have a money crunch then go with the OBX intake...

Even when I mounted it as high as I could with zip ties and my own little TB holder, it STILL rubbed. Idk if there is something just wrong specifically with my car that doesn't mount right.

you can't get any smoother than those bends... When you say smooth are you referencing the 90* bend? You said your a honda dude, that is why i ask. maybe your unfamiliar with the placement of the neon intake system.

I can see welds on my boys 1.6l here: http://i19.photobucket.com/albums/b1...TECOUPE006.jpg

I wouldn't say its crap, since he made 328whp at 11psi on a stock B16

ok here comes my expert opinion which is completely right and if you think i am wrong you can suck me off:

1) obx is a good brand. they have quality prices for the fraction of the cost of other manufacturers. i am not saying they are the best, because they are not, but i think they are very good.

2) a cai is just a tube. and a very small one at that. brand of the tube makes no difference, you may gain 1 more hp with the k&n rather than a ebay one, but it is just the tube. and welds dont mean its bad.

3) the filter is the main part you want to worry about. get a good k&n and the tube will make no difference

4) PVC INTAKE FTMFW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i was told heated pvc gives off a toxic gas. i thought that's why you were saying that...

your sig is sweeter. [8D]

i was having trouble deciding between the stg3 or agp 50 trim. i think i made a good choice.
