I've just bought a 2003 Dodge Sx 2.0, I have no manual. My gas tank seems smaller than my old crappy 1997 Escort which was around 45L, anyone know the capacity??I seem to be getting around 350-400km per tank, but I have not let it go to complete empty.

10.5 gallon tanks....sometimes it feels like it only fills up to 8

 

SXT has 12 something

 

My 2005 SXT at the red line usually takes 8.5 gallons to fill. Not sure what it is at the empty mark.

 

the tank is 49 litres

 

adionik, i thought it was 12.5 gallons

 

i would say a lil more than 10 gallons....but im not kidding ....i had a 05 sxt automatic and now i have the 04 sxt manual....i think my automatic held more gas...could be just in my head...but i know for a fact that i always spent more money at the pump with the automatic...so im guessing the tank was a lil larger..

 

i have an auto and when i was completely out of gas it filled up to 12.5 gallons...

 

Its either 12 or 12.5 gallons. I'd have to double check my manual. Gas light will come on at around 9.5 gallons, which basically looks like your needle on E. If the gas light is ever flashing you had better find a gas station because you are very low. A gallon or less when that happens.
