I am sure increasing the bore and stroke of a neon's 2.0L engine is possible but has anybody done it? What about getting a stroker motor or making one yourself? Could you get a stroker crank and build a stroker like you would for a muscle car?

 

howell sells a stroker crank. and you have to bore the motor if you want .020 over pistons lol. i will be doing that for my new motor

 

Well pretty much isnt that all the srt 2.4 is a bored 2.0 block?

srt is not close to a bored 2.0 its a different block

 

While the 2.4 and 2.0 blocks are very very similar, the 2.4 still cant be described as a bored 2.0...

 

I looked at Howell and their kits are good for a 2.2L stroker. So it isn't quite as good as an SRT-4 but i'm sure it would have noticable impovements over the stock 2.0L. I also looked at DCR and they have srt-4 strokers, I would if those would work on our neons. I believe they are 2.6L.

 

the 2.4 and 2.0 has the same bore I think it is 87mm.
