Default CAI noise

so i've had my CAI on my car for awhile but just replaced the filter with a K&N extreme one. the CAI i got off ebay so its like a no name brand. i was using the filter that came with it ( i know i know bad bad bad) but just replaced it. I never had any probs like this with the old filter.

what happens is after i give it some gas and move for a little and come to a stop after a few seconds it starts humming from the intake and its a VERY loud humming sound. it only goes away if i start to move again or give it a little gas.

i have a MT and no other mods on at this time. i will be putting on a turbo missing one or two pieces and i have a new srt4 cat back exhaust one its way right now.

so any one have this problem or know what it might be and how to fix it? maybe its cuz the filter is right next to the plastic in the wheel well? any thoughts would be great its really bugging me and its every single time i stop!

I'd check to see if the CAI is rubbing on the frame anywhere.

well i know for a fact that where the pipe bends to go towards the wheel well through that hole it is just sitting on the frame there.

so that might be the problem? doesnt really sound like a rubbing noise but that could be it. ill take a look when i get home. if it is any suggestions on what to put between the pipe and frame?

I dont know if it's a KN thing, but after I put in my KN filter I could hear a noise...kinda sounds like an air leak

Might be that

Well what noise is it making exactly? Is it like a whistle noise? If it is, its just the intake. Mine does that when I'm at part throttle. When I go WOT it goes away and then I hear a deep sound from the intake/exhaust. I would try and keep it from rubbing if it is.
