ok if I was you I would just use megasquirt too control the motor and leave the mini ecu in there too control the other stuff. You are doing something that no one has tried yet. So dit gaan baie werk wees.
you would be better of with 03graphite suggestion less work you know it will work and about the same power

good luck if you attempt this

agreed ^ ^ megasquirt would solve alot of problems.

Well considering the 2.4l engine has more torque than a Cooper S already, and damn near as much power, my mind is unfortunately set! tooslow, jy praat Afrikaans?!?! Yeah a 3rd party controller was the direction I was aiming...This isn't going to be easy, but it seems it might be doable! Thanks all for the help...

ja ek praat afrikaans. I grew up in warmbad near pretoria. But live in the US now. that is why I would not ty this espacially in SA since parts are hard too find over there.
