Default insurance companies suck

So I called my insurance company to find out what the hell is going on from the accident and because I only had liability the only thing they will cover is $5,000 worth of medical. The only medical I recieved was the ambulance that showed up on scene because I had 3 scratches...they won't do anything unless the other driver gets caught and the cops said if u see him again write down his plate and call it in...WTF!?!?! I can't go around asking every person in the area that drives a dark colored audi where they where at the time of the accident and even if i did chances are the guy would lie because he fled the scene. So next car even though its gonna make me bankrupt is getting full coverage...My basic was costing me $202 a month and the only thing on my drivers record was a fix it ticket from the light over my back plate being out. That was with my car 100% bone stock. Then I switched companies to pay $176 a month...full is gonna kill me with like $5,957,905,730,795,309,209,740,270,324 a month

Yes, especially if your paying that $200 a month for basic coverage (if I'm reading your post right)...

I hear it all depends on who you go with to who screws you the most. My godfather had Progressive, was paying very little for a lot of coverage and supposedly they screwed him with a loophole when he got in a wreck. NO IDEA WHAT HAPPENED, THOUGH. But yeah, $200 a month is insane. My advice is to shop around.
