There are a lot of aftermarket exhuast systems out there for the neon. A few of the ones I would recomend- Pacesetter, Borla, Vibrant.

I use the stock R/T exhaust, it has a great sound, but it doesn't scream.

Those big Fart can mufflers actually steal H.P. from your engine, and they sound like ****.

Just my 0.2$

fartcans don't actually steal anything. They free up quite a bit by releiving back pressure. Most four bangers do need a little BP though but a good cat will do that for you. And they don't sound like ****. you may not like it but the straight throughs represent your engine's sound not your exhaust's.

Thats why my altima actually sounds hella decent with no cat and a "fart can" compared to any neon I have ever heard with the same basic setup (no offense to you neon guys but my car just sounds a hell of a lot better then any neon I have heard, I have actually gotten some compliments from hardcore V8 guys)

My neon's exhaust would drown just about anything out. But it doesn't sound trashy, it's a deep vibrant tone. It's so loud you can feel it in the house. Sonds better than anything I've ever heard on the street.

HAHA. I've heard good things about mine. I was revvin it up at the track last week and a couple of my WRX buddies were over watchin people race and they heard someone revvin, but they didn't know it was me. They said it sounded sweet. I was also leading the pack home that same day and they said everytime I downshifted they could hear it and that it sounded awesome. I personally have never heard other than what I get in the car, but it sounds good in the car.
