Every car burns some amount of oil, but I'll ask a few questions first...a problem with the PCV wouldnt account for that much oil loss though IMO.

1. Is there any oil on the ground underneath the car when it sits for a large amount of time?
2. Any oil in the spark plug tubes?
3. What kind of oil are you using?
4. How many miles since your last oil change?
5. Is there any oil on the bottom of the engine (not the ground) or in the general area?
1. No, said that in my 1st post..

2. Nope i fixed that problem long ago

3. 10w-30 full synthetic... gonna try 5w-30 when i do the oil change

4. 2500 miles give or take....

5. not that i can see, there is however carbon or possibly burnt oil around the back of the valve cover and a little bit on the exhaust manifold but not much down there... so yea...

which ones? i mean when i changed the oil the last time i didnt see any oil around the pan gasket so im pretty sure that one is ok..... i wonder if my oil pressure is right..... lol cant wait to get my oil pressure and A/F gauges..... :-P

i mean the only place i think i am having a problem is the valve cover gasket so this weekend i am gonna be scraping and pulling the old one off and putting the new one on.... :-\ so much fun.... as for the PCV valve does it just slide off of the tube after u screw it off the valve cover...?

Mine has 75k miles and is leaking about 1.5qts every 3000 miles. It doesnt leak and nothing is obvious underneath. I have no idea where the oil is going. I can sometimes faintly smell oil when I get out of my car while its running sometimes. I guess its just burning it, I do not see any smoke or anything comming out of the exhaust.
