Am I in trouble? need help ASAP
On sept 11th i went to court to see if icould get com. servicefor a speeding ticket i got back in july. i went there, and ther was a lady in the courtsaying if we didnt have an atterney that we had to come up to the front desk. (apperently that ment everybody then) . the lady looks at my ticket and says she'll give me com. service instead of the points. I go on my way and get every thing signed up and sheduled for the com service. today i got a letter in the mail saying
"In accordance with MD rule 4-248, the court indefinitely postponed the trail in the above referenced citation by entering a stet on sept. 11, 2007
A stetted charge may be rescheduled for at the request of either the state or the defendant within one year and thereafter, only by court order for good cause shown. A stet may not be entered over the objection of the defendant.
My question is, wtf does this mean? Are they saying that the ticket AND the points still stand? Sorry for the long post but its really bugging me. [:@]
