thats normal, it will sound a bit weird, all brand new exhaust smell weird for a while from what i have heard, mine did the same. if it doesn't go away then you know you got ur self a problem but you should be ok.

Im pretty sure the smell is from a coating the put on it to protect it, before you install it.

Yeah its just cause your borla is new it will go away sooner or later had the same thing with my mopar borla on my acr srt4.

A borla had a nice loudness to it not annoying like the srt4 stocker without a glasspack on a neon . Even more nicer on a srt4 .
