Duel purpose thread!

I'm not saying the hanh is better...but I think if the OP has to even pose this question, it gives you a lot of insight on his knowledge. I don't think even with proper guidance he'd get the same setup as you cost effectively. I didn't know you could use the SRT ic piping, I thought it had to be custom made?
The hanh is supposed to run less boost as well...like 5 or 8 I believe. Which is supposed to be "safe", yet i still hear on engines blowing with 5psi. So I guess there really is no "safe" psi.
I think what I was trying to say was
Hanh - Turbo for idiots?
Pretty easy, thanks to Hahn's deep experience with turbosystems. All of the components are bolt-on, with no welding or fabrication required. Detailed instructions guide the installer, step by step, through the entire installation. You need not be a turbo specialist or skilled tuner to install and set up this system. Any qualified auto mechanic can do it with standard tools. The installation approach and instructions are conceived with the installer in mind. Should any questions arise, the installer can access our highly skilled Tech Service department for assistance. Expect to spend 10 to 15 hours to complete the installation. Expect that EVERYTHING you need will be in the system box. When we say that all you need is this system, your car and a mechanic, we are sincere. It's all in the box, with no additional trips to the parts store required! We've done all the hard work already, including engineering a fuel enrichment system which is complete and proven. - From their site
SRT-4 - Know what you're doing?

Not trying to be a dick, but i'm curious about your post. Why would you reference beefing up the internals for the SRT set-up and not the Hahn, or vise versa…
Now if you know what you are doing… The SRT-4 set-up is way more cost efficient than the Hahn. I pieced my whole set-up for under $3000 and that included the magnum head, cam, clutch, Walbro 255 and gauges. All of which are not included in the Hahn kit.
Used SRT-4 manifolds and turbo’s are cheap as hell. Along with stock SRT IC piping.
Not knocking the hahn kit, it comes with everything… fittings lines and such. But for a price.

If you're going to turbo your car with your current motor, getting the supporting mods isn't a bad idea. But know what you're getting yourself into. Now to turbo the SOHC 2.0L engine you're either going to:
-Hanh turbo kit - of which EVERYTHING will be provided from FMIC piping to BOV's....designed specifically for your engine.
OR
-SRT turbo - Need to get the adapter plate, make your own IC piping, beef up internals and a lot of other very, very difficult processes. I'm not saying it's not possible, but I feel that a lot of people are WAY too optomistic and easy going about this amount of work it takes. I take it's your daily driver? Consider that in...otherwise look at the Forced Induction section of 2gn.org and you'll see what you're getting yourself into.

long story short, i agree...
tune and power blows engines not psi. i ran minimum 10-11psi on my stock block all day long and never had an issue.
Ok, so you say the hanh is better? I mean, I do want to get alot of power out of it, after i beef up my lower end AND top end, how much PSI could I make with a hanh? and can I put a diff turbo on it that will put out what I want?
How much HP could I expect?
Performance specs please!!!!!

I don't know a whole lot about turbos, as a matter of fact I don't know jack **** about turbos. But just look around a lot and most of your answers can be found
For actual performance numbers....
My car > Mikeys < Turbo
Make sense?
Well I get like 250 hp+ out of my 1st gen hahn turboed neon with stage2 kit just go to there website and it tells you what hp you can get out of the different turbo kits they have to me the stage2 is the best for an auto. Ive smoked alot of 5 speeds in my 1st gen with the hahn stage 2 turbo kit . For an auto they are the best to get you dont have to do the tranny swap or mess with a srt4 turbo you never know what youll get . hahn is brand new with everything you need .
ok, then I'm going Hanh.
1 it's idiot proof,
2. no tranny swap needed as per what Airwolf says and I'd get around 250 HP
3. Everything that is needed comes with it.
4. It's brand new
I'm still going to do the mag head and comp cam and intake mods.

Yeah I had all that before my accident mag head and comp400 but 200 is nice also and intake manifold and other mods and going back to the same mods when I go turbo and you actually get 8-10 psi and 250 to 275 hp I read up on what they gave me with the turbo kit. For an auto the only easy way to go and for the money its well worth it and theres alot of places that sell the hahn kit just have to research.
ok, thanks Airwolf
I'm going to MS it too so I dont have the limiters. though I think the tranny can only go up to 120 (had it at the limiter racing a colbolt ss and I was in 3rd gear going 118-120. I wonder if the overdrive will act as a normal gear if im in WOT and max out 3rd
I might want to go with the MTX anyway

Airwolf... STOP! with the false claims. You have no clue what you are getting for power. And i will bet the house you are putting no where close to that power to the wheels.
Those are crank numbers on their website. No where near usable power. Here is a quick lesson... FWD drive cars are said to lose, rule of thumb, 25% of crank horsepower through the drive train.(even more through an ATX)
so Hahn's claim of 275hp subtracted by 25% is 206.25whp. 250 crank is even less: 187.5whp.
You do not see me claiming my turbo sxt made 273.7hp / 305tq. Please take you car to the dyno, i would love to see the outcome. A dyno sheet on the windshield at a show won't hurt ya either.

Sounds like you are on the right path. Eventually I would definitely get the R/T head. That will probably give you around 15whp right there. Then I have seen dyno results with stock neons with only the comp 200 getting +12whp. Then the MTX transmission I have heard is an extra 5-10whp. I'm not completely sure how accurate that is though. With a turbo you will be getting up there with the WHP. Btw, I would add a turbo made catback to that list. I have seen new catbacks for the SRT-4 getting +12whp gains.
looks like graphite and 03neonRT got you going goooood.
