Microsoft Rant...
On hold now waiting for a supervisor... they asked me if i wanted to wait or call back since it might take 15 minutes. Needless to say the phone is on speaker right now and i'm waiting. Second call in a row actually, the first douche bag told me that the systems were down and i need to call back in 3 hours. ya right!? i ask for a supervisor and she said they are all at lunch. A BUNCH OF CRAP!!!! i'm in the last damn time zone on earth and its 4:02pm i told her. lol hung up and called rigt back.
you should make a vid of your bitching lol. that would be pretty bad ***! let us know how it goes......ask them if there is anything that can be done about the enormous inconvenience it has caused lol, i have been reading that they might give you free stuff; game, hard drive, xbox live code, etc
Well, after talking with a supervisor we finally made a deal... technically my warranty is void on anything other than the 3 rings. The one year limited warranty, even if replaced, is only good for a year. Even after a replacement it is only good for the 1 year or 30 days after the replacement, which ever is longer.
If i didn't bitch i would have to pay $99 for repair and pay for shipping to TX from HI. (probably another $100 just for shipping)
The Deal: $49.50
[ul][*]Repair[*]Shipping[*]1 Month Xbox Live[*]1 Year Warranty[/ul]k3v

Do you want to know some information about the Xbox 360?
First off when Microsoft first came out with the system, they decided to rush with manufacturing and getting it into stores. That they forgot to take the plastic wrapping off the fans inside the system, so in all affects from that when it overheated it just melted the plastic completely and the fans stopped working which caused system crashes. They had a bit of problems when they had it released. Well recently they started doing some updates to the systems. Here is what you need to look for when you get a new system.
Lot number 0727-0733- Comes with more heatsinks and they made the dvd player quieter. So that it won't overheat as much.
Lot number 0734 and above- Gives you the above statement and a 65 nanometer chip instead of the 90 that is in them now. That way so the system runs even smoother, quieter, and there is a very very low risk of getting the RROD on your system.
To find the Lot number on your system, you must look at the box near the barcode and it would say something in the lines of Lot#726 or Lot#0726.

ya graphite call them and bitch hard about it. so anyone wanna buy a new 360? your problem should be covered under warranty. I also love my 360! i have a ps3 and a wii but the 360 is the best IMO.
For the comment about the PS3, they have come out with several versions of their console as well, and for your info, they will be coming out with yet another one, a stripped version pretty much. IMO the ps3 is really bad, there is nothing out there worth playing, and if it is, more than likely it is out for the 360 as well. i have one just for the blu ray player, I am waiting to see which dvd format wins the "war" they have that way i can get high definition movies. No sense in buying an hd dvd player if its going to be obsolete later on down the road....

Grand Theft Auto isn't a exclusive game for the PS3. There are hardly any games for the PS3 that are exclusive to just that system. You have to really look at the systems themselves when you buy one and not just go "oh this one has to be better because of what it can do". You saw the games that Xbox 360 released with and the ones the Wii released with. The PS3 came out to early for itself and was completely stupid to have put in a Blu-ray player inside of it. Really when you look at it you aren't buy a system. You are just purchasing a Blu-ray player that can play video games too. Of course the 360 games are going to be made for the original 360! There isn't anyother 360 out! The only difference like I have said and you must not or didn't read like everyone else. The 360's that are coming out like the Elite and Halo edition are still the SAME 360 just with more heatsink, quieter dvd drive, bigger hard drive (elite), and a new CPU. It is still called the 360, so in terms it is a 360 just like the original.
It costs more because of the stuff the systems are coming with. Like how the Elite is $450 because it comes with a 120g hard drive to it. Which is really nice to have if you download a lot of demos to try out or have a lot of music you want to put on your console. The Halo edition comes with a HDMI cable so that is why it is $50 more then the Xbox 360 Pro version. Cause if you buy the Xbox 360 Pro it comes with just HD cables. The HDMI cable itself is $50. Do you understand? Can you figure out why the Elite is more expensive now?

Since my issue is over, let me get into this PS3 vs 360 discussion...
I was a hardcore Sony fan even when the first xbox was released. Since i played Forza 1, i scrapped my PS2 and never looked back.
With the 360, even with the bull****, i still would not trade it for anything else on the market. Sony is gonna stick themselves very soon with this blue-ray crap. HD-DVD is going to win the battle, mark my words. And the reason for this is because of the **** industry. **** has chosen HD-DVD. Although some is released on BR, Sony makes it way to expensive for the industry to produce the discs. They want all the control just like with the sony mini-discs. Mini-discs were a great idea, but sony kept the exclusive rights and would not let anybody else make players. **** decided the VHS vs. BETA war and it will do the same with the high def dvd war also.
Xbox 360 HD-DVD for $170 plus 7 HD-DVDs for free!? thats right: And because its external and hooks up through USB it is compatible with your PC. Great for my 19" wide screen lcd.
I do not find anything appealing about the PS3. Yes they have exclusives, but noting that excites me. Final fantasy and Metal Gear Solid are rumored to be released on the 360... http://emaglive.com/index.php?showtopic=1988 If PS3 loses those then they are done.
Xbox Live completes the ultimate package. The ability to go online and see all your friends playing has changed the way i play video games. I used to know what i was gonna play before my console was even turned on. Now i turn on the box, see who's online, see what they are playing, and choose from there... HD movie rentals, TV shows, Music, xbox live arcade, demo's, etc... PS3's "Home" is never gonna touch xbox live, especially if they still plan to offer it for free.
All in all, i will always chose Microsoft... but no matter how much we go back and forth about the 360 vs. PS3 we all know the Wii is kicking both our asses. Nintendo has opened up a market that was never in the video game demographic before.
