Check Engine Light
Does anyone know about the check engine light coming on after so many miles? If so what does this mean? My dad said it might be the oxygen sensor going bad??? Let me know what you all think
Thanks!
Thanks!
what code is it throwing?
turn the key, without starting the engine on>off>on>off>on it will display a code in the odometer, write it down and let us know. we cant help you without knowing that code

Do the little switch dance that Kalevra said, takes about 10 seconds and write down the code. Post it here and we can usually pin point it fairly quick.

Is that what that code means? I always go past 50 starts though and it stays on, itsso annoying. [:'(]

Sorry guys...what is a CEL? I will try to code thing when I get home from work tomorrow and let you all know what I find out. I've heard several ppl say that once you hit so many miles the light turns on anyways...is this true?
Thanks... I thought about the what CEL meant after I posted that and feel kinda silly. I do need an oil change badly...just had two tune ups in a row because a place put in cheap spark plugs and messed the first tune up royally...just had a new raditor put in, those things are expensive, possibly could be something else though
