learning to drive again
that sucks dude. hope the car is ok.
Understeer: When you loose traction in your front tires
Oversteer: When you loose traction in your rear tires.
You typically don't want any of those lol.
For the rear. Sway bars make the car more rigid and tighter. All the does is make your car react much faster. To reduce oversteer you just soften it up or take the sway bar off. All this is doing is making your cars suspension react faster. If you want your car to absorb the weight transfer you want softer suspension. however your car will react much slower. Tighter is better....you just have to know your cars limits
For front anti-roll bars its kinda different. The stiffer your make your bars the more understeer you will get. Still, your suspension reacts faster when its stiffer. If you want less understeer then you need to soften your suspension.
You really don't need a sway bar unless you autocross or something like that. The only time it will help is when you are taking fast turns and you need to turn left to right quickly or just need to adjust your steering fast. Other than that if you make a pretty simple quick turn its better to have soft suspension.
You just gotta learn...All sway/anti-rolls do is adjust oversteer/understeer. It really depends on your springs, dampeners, race track, and driver preference.
